Athen's in Cologne

Corona or not, the gyros came out of the pan and was of poor quality, souvlaki was totally greasy and had nothing to do with the typical Greek souvlaki. There was a dark hair in the salad. Then let the shop open completely. According to the other reviews, you can do it better otherwise. For me it was the first and last time.

The food here is generally very tasty and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the souvlaki skewers have been using poor quality, streaky meat with a lot of fat for several weeks. Possibly this should help to reduce costs during the lockdown. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the souvlaki skewers. That's why there is a star deduction.

Always a place that we like to have and that we can eat well.

The place really has the potential to become my next hangout, and the place is actually extremely stylishly furnished. No cheap decoration, instead there was a lot of really good looking color coordinated with each other. The lining wasn't the only thing that astonished people in this restaurant! I really enjoy trying out new places and I am tirelessly researching new places, but I will stay loyal to this place. The waiters are extremely lovely and very friendly every time. I really enjoy that every time I visit.

Fine draft beer, kind service. We did not wait for food for more than 10 minutes. Souvlaki, Greek music, is fine.

The food was wonderful! Everything is fresh and delicious, even at a late hour after 10 p.m. The service was excellent and very friendly. Nevertheless, I unfortunately have to subtract a star. Because there was no list for us (4 people from 2 different households) in which we could or had to register.

Were there spontaneously, with luck we got a place for 2 people. We ate sea bream and swordfish. Was ok but a little greasy and the price was a little high. It was also strange that there was only a small salad and some grilled vegetables with the sea bream. Not even bread and nothing. There was no ouzo for a nightcap either. Are more convinced of the Alekos in Ehrenfeld.

If you are looking for a good Greek in Cologne, you will definitely find it here. A family business as you would like it to be in addition to system catering. The food was really excellent and we will definitely be back. :)

I can really recommend the restaurant! The inn is easy to reach! The favorable transport connection makes a jaunt quickly possible. The staff worked quickly, cleanly and friendly. I mostly didn't want to share the dessert with my sister at all. We have learned from this for the future and will order a dessert per person next time.

Spontaneously received a table for two. Unfortunately the waiting time until the order was very long, it also took a long time until the food was at the table. Unfortunately, the wrong food was brought again, but this can happen. Was exchanged without problems, unfortunately we could not eat together. The food was fine, but nothing exceptional.

Tasty food in a frienly atmosphere

It was the worst experience I ever have in Köln. I was with my wife in our marriage anniversary,, 1. not friendly 2. not clean and I saw 2 mouse running in the place . 3. the order took ages , was very late .4. the price is expensive.. We ordered, after that with 30 minutes they brought us the appetizers, which taste very bad ( 0 out of 10 ) , I ordered a beef steak with pepper sauce and rice ,( the order came 1 full hour after the appetizers) they brought me a steak which have the grill lines and raw from inside and it was very very chewy and doesn't have any good taste . and the rice was very little and not good cooked .I did not eat my food at all , specially after seeing 2 mouse running in front of me , I was near to throw out, I can't imagine how dirty the kitchen will be. for my food I will be too much fair if I give (0 out of 10) if its possible to give minus I will give minus , for my wife she ordered Moussaka ouflauf, the meat there was not tasty and the cheese is also not tasty taste , it was like expired food and she eat nothing from it and of course ( 0 out of 10 ) .. I asked for the bill and the woman asked do you want to take the food with you , I said no thx I just want to pay and go and never ever come here again even if everything will be free .. they screwed up my evening .... with 10% of what I pay there , I would have better evening at Macdonald's .

Very nice atmosphere and authentic food. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was very courteous and has fulfilled our needs at all times. The toilets were very clean! The quality of the food and the service are constantly at a high level, which justifies the five stars! I can definitely recommend this to Athens. You do not often experience such hospitality.

Found this place just in Google and went, because it was close. On a late Saturday night the download is high, but served well and quickly. Portions large and hearty, brought very quickly. Take the bean soup, as home. And Athens platter for 17 euros: a large portion, 4 types of meat. Eaten one plate for two. To taste, there are no questions. One of the best gyros in my life :) Also grilled cheese was taken with Balsamico sauce. Salty, but also delicious. Serving dishes is beautiful and very fast. Located in the center of the city. I was in Greece and fell in love with her kitchen. At the restaurant it seemed that I again returned to this country. Recommend.

45 min wait for food when you are the first guests in the restaurant is inexcusable. The food was fine but mediocre. Service was also OK, but nothing special.

When you enter a place at 13:50, the official schedule says they close at 15h and the person in charge sends you away because <the kitchen closes at two> is unbelievable. It was clear to us that this person wanted to go home early and not work much. A very bad impression. It’s a pity it looked well

Excellent Greek cuisine! The food was absolutely first class, we were very excited - and we know each other! ;-) Even the wine list, only the finest! The atmosphere is also really pleasant, modern, friendly and not at all dusty! Overall, highly recommended !!!

Affordable greek food. Portions little smaller than I am used to at Greek restaurants, but for us it was enough.

Restaurant was clean and food was ok. I had better Gyros at other places for the same or less money. All in all it doenst look like a typical Greek restaurant.

Great lamb

Well to say I have been craving Mexican food since coming to Germany is an understatement. I mean how people over here have never had a taco, or burrito blows my mind and on top of that when they think of Mexican food they think of Taco Bell. This really grinds my gears!

An Italian restaurant in Berlin with excellent personal service, nice intimate athmosphere and superb food. No pizzas here. Not much more to say, really. I have come here 10 years in a row or so, and they haven't let me down so far. They have also a very good selection of wines and the knowledge to recommend them. If you like a taste of Italy you should not miss this place.
